Add mountain graph to existing line chart

    Hi all,

Any way I can get the following to happen:

Have column R & S displayed as a line chart...Exactly how the current chart is using columns L & M.

Column T as mountain graph (so it looks like a background).

    Thanks for any help

You can modify the named ranges to alter the location of data.

ribbon tab Formulas > Defined Names > Name Manager.

    change the offsets
    10 to 16
    11 to 17

Add a new series as a area chart, assuming that is what you mean by mountain graph.

Ok...excuse my inexperience but i'm giving it a crack!!

I've added the new series and it is now placed on the chart.. I wanted just the S&P data to be an area chart, and leave the other 2 series as a line chart. Is this possible?

I also wanted the S&P y axis to be located on the left hand side of the chart...and the other two on the right hand side, is this possible?

And lastly can I have the chart ignore the data point if it has a value of zero?

    Cheers

    John

Select the Equity series and via the format dialog change the series to the secondary axis.
    Repeat for the BreakEven series.

Select the S+P series and via the ribbon, ChartTools > Design > Type > Chart Type.
Change the selected series to Area chart

Good man andy, thanks for that...

I need two last things and It will be perfect.

    (1) Can I get the dates in column B to run across the bottom of the x axis?

    (2) If the value in column T is zero, can the chart just ignor it? and move on to the next cell without showing a gap?

You just need to apply the horizontal axis and format font to automatic color.

Only way to remove zero values is to filter the rows on data.
