    Overlapping lines in a chart

    Hey guys...

How do I put one line on top of the others in a chart?

I have a chart with several data series and multiple axes, so it's kind of a mess. I want to sort the lines and put one of them in the back and then deciding who comes next until I have on of them on top, overlapping all of the others. This must be possible, but I just can't find the way to do it!!

    Thanx!

You can do it by changing the series order (in the series formatting options) - it would be possible to make a macro to do this quickly

Oh yea, it works! Only problem now is how to do that with the different axes? The elements on the secondary axis keep overlapping the ones on the primary... Any idea?

    Thank you!

I think you're stuck with that - the ordering is fixed within the axes, i.e.:
    axis 2 series 1
    >
    axis 2 series 2
    >
    axis 2 series 3
    >
    axis 1 series 1
    etc.

I have had hours of fun wrestling with this particular thing

You can right-click axes and plot values/categories in reverse order - but you may find you then have to reingineer everything backwards in order to fit - depends on need how worth it that is.

OK, I see. What I've done now is to make the primary axis the secondary and vice versa, which half way solved the problem for now. The chart's looking OK, and most importantly, I know there's no use to keep struggling with this!

Thanks a million for helping me out!
