Red face Create a chart based on Text fields using Data Validation

I have created an Excel spreadsheet which has various columns. These columns are filled in by selecting data from a drop down box that I have created using data validation. I want to create a chart based on the information in these boxes.

To explain further, I have a column called "source of enquiry". The drop down includes website, email, telephone, referral. I want to create a chart that will tell me how many telephone calls, how many emails etc.

I am sure this can be done but my limited Excel knowledge has reached it's peak! Please can someone assist me with this task,

    Mucho Gracias.

    Mitchell

You should be able to adapt the methods presented here:

    Do you know . . . ?

This is far too technical for me. I don't know how to use VB at all Is there someone I can email the sheet to and let them have a look at it? I am sure it is very simple

Really, it's not that difficult if you take the time to read through the pages and give a little study to the examples, which you can download.

There is lots more help available on the topic:
    Dynamic Charting Formulas in Excel
Using Named Ranges to Create Dynamic Charts
    Videos for Dynamic Charts

VBA is not necessarily required for creating dynamic charts.
