Chart data from pivot table using overlapping years

Attached is a sample file containing 3 worksheets. The Data sheet contains the raw data. My actual data can vary from a few hundred rows to over 50,000 rows.

The Pivot Table sheet is a pivot table of the data that summarizes the data by year and month.

The Chart sheet has a drawing (that I mocked up in PowerPoint) showing what I'm trying to create within Excel. My client wants to see this type of chart where it shows January to December, and the data for the different years is different colors. The date range I'm dealing with at the moment does span a range of April 2010 to June of 2011.

What is the best way to create a chart that looks like what I have in the Chart sheet?

I suspect I'm just making this more difficult than it is, so I really appreciate any help, along with a description of the solution - so I can keep learning from all of you!

Move the Years field to the columns part of the table.
In order to get 2011 data first you will need to sort the columns descending.
