Crossing points in two columns of data

    Hi,

I would like to identify the dates of crossing points in two columns of data
Column B data (background color Green) and Column C data (background color Blue)

i.e. Upward cross or downward cross in the data.

. Column B data has changed from less Column C data to greater than Column C data
Or Column B data has changed from greater Column C data to less than Column C data

    ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    In a Separate Column

I would also like to identify Maxima and Minima (turning points) in Column B data and
    In a Separate Column again
Identify Maxima and Minima (turning points) in Column C data
    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

See attached Excel spreadsheet and Jpg File

I hope that I have not over explained the above.

    Thanking you in advance

    Best regards

    Derek,

Not sure about your max/min requirements.

See if this is on the right track.
If it is then the formulae I have used can probably be improved.

Re: Crossing points in two columns of data

    Hi Marcol,

May I thank you for your help with the “Crossing points in two columns of data spreadsheet”

    That is great.

The use of nested “If “ & “And” & conditional colour formatting very helpful.

To identify the Maximum & Minimum values (which I have labelled “ Peak” & “Through”)
I have adapted your formulas and used them in Columns E & F

See my attached modified Spreadsheet “Crossing Points”.
Are my attempts at Maximum & Minimum formula in columns E & F correct?

    Thank you again
    Best regards,

    Derek
