series formatting across multiple charts

I have several charts that pull different sorts of data from the same table. The charts all have the same series names (and these are in the same order, since they all pull from the same chart). I want each series (a person's name) to have the same formatting on all of the charts, so the data are easier to evaluate. Currently, Excel seems to be randomly assigning line color, marker style, etc.

Short of manually formatting each series on each chart (huge job), how can I make any given series look the same on all of the charts?

Copy the graph, then edit the source data. Everything should be identical.
