How do you define a data series from a named range?

    Hello,

I have a column of data to graph, want to define the "Series Values" using a named range.

How do you input the named range to get this to happen?

Go to formulas > Name Manager > New

enter the details for your named range ie Name: MyRange Refers to:A1:A10

To use the named range in a chart, go to chart tools > design > select data
    > add

Enter a worksheet name, followed by the name of the named range.

    eg

    Series Data: =AnyWorkshhetName!MyRange
    Rule 1: Never merge cells
    Rule 2: See rule 1

Thank you, I forgot to follow up with this post, but I finally phrased the question properly on Google and yes, using: " =worksheet_name.xlsm!myRangeName " worked just fine....

i just had no idea you had to include the workbook name and extension.

    Thank you for the assistance.
