Insert graph function defaults to wrong data

    Greetings,

I have not had an issue until now with inserting a graph after having selected a block of data. Now, however, I am. When I choose this block of A1:I6 (Dates A2:A6, names B1:I1, and number data b2:i6 in the body) the chart wizard defaults and selects the axes at random, seemingly. I have a million of these charts to make and if I have to select data individually, I will go insane. This used to work fine; can anyone tell me if it is my formatting, or something else I am missing that is causing this auto chart to fail?!?!?

-- I should clarify: the attachment shows the error (chart and associated table) at top and the desired result at bottom (chart and associated table).

The empty cells will confuse Excel when it make an attempt to understand your data.

You could select the range A1:I2 and insert chart.
    Switch Row/Column
The use the bounding area around the data to extend the chart data to A1:I6

If you have a million of these to do should you not be consideriing a VBA approach?
    Cheers
