Timeline (Gantt) chart showing both hour and date

    Hi all
I am trying to make a timeline chart showing both hour and date. I have attached an example file wherein I have plotted timelines in hours. What I want to do is to show the dates as well in primary or secondary axis so that viewer can get the date of finishing various jobs. From hours only one has to calculate. I want date should start at zero hour and every 24 hours next date should be seen. Plot can be made directly with date only but if one job finishes sometime in the day and another job starts same hour and not next day then it is problem to plot realistically. Hope I could make it clear. Please guide.

    Hi,
You could use XY scatter charts to display dividers every 24 hours (+ text if required).

@pimpmychart, please use the forum facilities to upload files instead of untrusted external sites. People have reported catching malware from stuff posted outside the forum, so we don't support that approach.

We also don't want to serve as an SEO booster for your personal web site. I will remove the link and you can attach the file to the forum.

    SK Roy,

if you want the X axis to be a timeline, why not use dates as the axis in the first place. You need some formulas to convert the hour values into real time values, but it would be easy to show the dates at the bottom.

You could show the values inside the bars.

    See attached.

    cheers

But for xy scatter two axes required. Here vertical axis (I undrstand it is X axis in this case) is category axis. What will be the ranges of X, Y? I think teylyn can help me out.
