4 quadrant graph with text not numerical data

    Hello,

I need to build a 4 quadrant graph (I believe it is under Scatter charts in Excel) with the following hypothetical parameters:

    • X axis: Low, Medium, High
    • Y axis: Low, Medium, High
    • The data that goes into the graph is not numerical but actual text

    For example:

    Series? Temperature Rainfall
    January low low
    February low high
    March medium high
    April high low
    May high medium

    Thank you in advance!!!

Excel cannot chart non-numeric data directly.

What you can do is assign your text values some numeric values and chat that.

Scatter charts are for finding relationships between data sets. If this is what you want to do with "Temperature" and "Rainfall", then you would be better served by using the numeric data(degrees and inches).
