Question Creating a two Y-axes chart

I know there is a way to create a chart with two Y-axes, but the tutorial that I have been using at www.technonthenet although clear and helpful does not answer my one question...how to mouseclick a Series 2 bar chart that is in small percentages and hardly visible in the chart in order to change that to a line chart as secondary Y-axis. I have tried enlarging the chart and that does not help.

Is there another way to create a 2 Y-axis chart?

    Thanks

    Ted

On the chart tools tabs, there is a dropdown box on the left of one of the tabs that allows you to select particular items. If you use that it's quite easy to select the series you want. You can also just select one series then use the up/down arrows to switch between them.

Re: Creating a two Y-axes chart

Thanks JosephP...exactly! But, for the uninitiated wandering the non-intuitive Microsoft Excel "Ribbon", here is more specifically what you need to do:

    1. Mouseclick anywhere inside the chart that you are creating to reveal the "Chart Tools" tab at the very top of the "Ribbon"

    2. Look for the "Layout" tab (one of three...Design, Layout, and Format) in the Chart Tools

    3. Open up that tab and look to the left margin for "Current Selection"...'chart area' with an arrow selector

    4. In that menu selection you have many options...look at the bottom for "Series 2" and mouse select

    5. You then return to "Current Selction tab and choose "Format Selection" and there you click the radio button for "Secondary Axis" to get bubbles on the chart to mouseclick for "Changing Data Format" to say, a line, graph for the secondary axis...voila

BTW...of all the choices you have for information, I would look first at:

    http://www.lytebyte.com/2009/02/24/h...xis-or-x-axis/

and for more detail (plus the above tip) go to: www.techonthenet.com/excel/charts/2_y_axes.php

Good luck...hopefully this exercise will not take the five hours that I struggled with creating four charts with two y-axes!
