Displaying ALL months in Pivot table, even if there is no data

I have a pivot table with months in the column heading, is there a way that I can easily display all months even if there is no data for that month?
E.g. I have data for all months except March and June, and I want the Pivot table to include all months, including March and June.

I have manually done it by adding blank rows for all months which sort of works, but I was hoping for a more elegant solution... It is something that I will need to on an ongoing basis, so I would prefer something that I don't need to manually add data too.

    Hi ahorwitz,

You have already discovered what I would suggest. If I need a range of dates when some may be missing, I simply add all dates in the range to the bottom of my table.
One test is worth a thousand opinions.

This is a few years late but I was looking for the same functionality. I found this article http://www.excel-university.com/show...-without-data/
    It works.

Hi Christine and welcome to the forum,

You are absolutely correct and thanks for the update. I find this was new in Excel 2010. I see the original poster had version 2007 so my answer was correct (lucky for me )

Thanks for pointing out the newer feature in Excel 2010. This is another reason for users to upgrade to the newer versions of Excel. Also see:
