Creating a Rolling 12 or 24 month Chart

    Hi All

    Hope everyone is good.

I am really struggling with this. I have a report that is used to measures the performance of 4 teams in 5 different areas on a monthly basis.

I want to create a chart for each area but to only should the last 12 or 24 months of data.

I have attached a sample sheet. Can anyone help. I am using Excel 2010

    Thanks in advance.

    Hello
If you create a sheet with your chart data and create a few named ranges for convenient reference, then you could perhaps do something as in the attached example. This shows the previous 12 month's data for each chart and changes as the month changes in cell B1. It could be amended to show 2 years if required. But hopefully it'll give you a few ideas.

    Hope this helps.

    Hi,
May be a variant using pivot table and pivot chart
    Data sheet rearrange for PT
PT sheet build with pivot table wizard
Then Options > PT Options > Options > Display pages of report filter > OK : automatically creates a sheet by category
For each category sheet insert a pivot chart and format as desired (legend, title, etc..)
Group by year and month the column field
To obtain e.g. the last 24 months, filter the column field by chronological using between 2 dates
    Hope this help
    Best regards

Re: Creating a Rolling 12 or 24 month Chart

    Hi all

I have manage to do this. Thanks for your help.

I would like to try and do this on a weekly basis and only showing the last 26 weeks of the year from any date in the year.

Has anyone got any ideas on how I would do this?

I did this the way DBY suggested. Has anyone any thoughts on doing this on a weekly basis?

    Thanks

Re: Creating a Rolling 12 or 24 month Chart

Here is the new attachment. I've amended the dates to Monday of each week and the chart tracks the previous 12 week's.

Hope it's what you're looking for.
