Combining Pivot table

Hi all, I want to combine two pivot tables. I have attached a excel file where I have given the example and result I want. could anybody help?

Hi,
A solution using pivot table wizard
Create PT Transfert by inserting the 2 range of cells with labels
Then double click on PTT Value : this create a new table
Insert a final PT based on the new table and format

Hello jpr73, Thanks. but, here I can not combine the data table and then create the PT. Actually I have a excel with lot of data and it is being upated regularly. for each line, there is possibility to have two department and two defects. that is the reason there are two sets columns "department" and "defect". at the end of the day I have to calculate total number of defects from both the columns.
Also, one more option I need is the filter to view the data for different period. I have attached one more excel for example.
