Re: Bar Graph in ascending order

    Hi,

I am trying to use the bar chart on excel however, I am having difficulties getting each category in ascending order. I do not want make separate charts for each line item. I basically have it set up so that, I have multiple teams and ratings from 1-9. I want the ratings to be on the x axis and have the legend to show teams. I got that far however, I am trying to put each rating in ascending order. The problem is, i can't do it for all ratings because the category or team name would change for that rating. I hope that makes sense. Here is a link to the file, so you are able to understand.

You would need to change the layout of your data.

If you want you can use vba to colour code each data point to have consistent team colours.

    Hi Andy,

Thank you for sending me the file. I am still however having trouble color coding the data points. Is their a simple VBA macro I can put in place to identify the color combinations?

Thank you again for you help,

    No need for code.
Just use formula and multiple series. Set Overlap to 100%

I have coloured Team10 red and added data labels so you can see each data point has been formatted correctly
