    hi dollycind58, welcome to the forum. right-click on the worksheet where the chart is, & click on "Protect Sheet". Ensure that the "Edit Objects" is unchecked. This means the user cannot edit the chart.

    if you need everything else unlocked, then do this instead:
    select the entire worksheet first by pressing CTRL + A or click on the box on the left of Column A & on top on row 1. press CTRL + 1 to go to Format Cells. go to the tab "Protection". Uncheck the "Locked". press OK.*

    Now, right-click the Sheet & Protect Sheet.
