    Question Multiple axes chart?

Hi there. I want to create a chart with multiple axes. For example, 4 vertical axes (with different scales) - for stock, sales, the number of stores with advertising and the degrees Celsius of weather (positive/ negative), and 2 horizontal axes - for the date per days and holidays of those days. All of them in one chart. Can be posible? I need a solution for that. Thanks.

    Re: Multiple axes chart?

I exclusively work with scatter charts, so there will be some things I miss for other chart types. Excel can put a 2nd y axis in by itself. You simply need to find the command (in my older version it is under the format data series dialog) that will assign a data series to the secondary axis, then format that axis as desired. Once you've assigned a series to the secondary y axis, then (in a scatter chart at least) you can go into the chart options dialog and tell it to display the secondary x axis.

Beyond 2 axes, you have to create them manually. You do this by creating an appropriate "dummy" series that you can plot on your graph using "+" "-" or similar data marker so it looks like an axis. Then use a data labeler (like the one from http://appspro.com/) to label the dummy data points appropriately.
