Merging two different data sets into one chart

    Hi All,

I am having a bit of a problem in creating a line chart for two different data sets. I have attached the excel file with the data.

Basically there are two different data sets - for stock ABC and XYZ. The data is for 'Time of Trade' and 'Execution Price'. All I need is a line chart with 'Time of Trade' on horizontal axis and 'Execution Price' on vertical axis (price for ABC and XYZ on two vertical axes).

I will be doing this chart everyday with new data, so I am looking to copy and paste data everyday which will automatically feed the data into chart.

This is a part of the report I am working on and I have to submit a draft in the next 2 days. So quick response is very much appreciated.

    Kind regards,
    Brijendar (BJ) Singh

p.s - I dont really know much about VBAs and macros. So it would be good if the solution could be as simple as possible.

Hi brijendar and welcome to the forum,

There is a tool that is no longer on the toolbar called the Pivot Table Wizard that allows what you want.
Read http://www.pivot-table.com/2010/07/1...in-excel-2007/ on how to put it on your toolbar and then http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/ex...010226585.aspx to see how to use your two ranges to get what I think you want.
One test is worth a thousand opinions.

    Hi Marvin,

    Thanks for your reply.
I tried using Pivot Tables before writing this query but they did not quite work. Fortunately I figured a way out and its all good now.

    Thanks for your help anyway.

    Thanks,
    BJ
