Pivot Table -- Category Grand Totals

    Hey Everybody,

I have an issue that seems like it should be possible to solve, and seems like many people would have a similar problem.

I need to show grand totals for categories above the main grand total. Here's what my pivot table looks like:

I have subtotals of each date by campagin, but I'd like a total of each date for all campaigns as well. Is this possible?

    Thanks for the help.

I don't think so-can you use another pivot table above it?

    Hi Tyler,

I think you are looking to show your subtotals at the top of group.

See http://contextures.com/xlPivot13.html for pictures of what I mean.

    Thanks for the quick responses.

JoesephP - This may work. I am continually expanding and hiding and filtering things in my pivot table. Does the changing size of one pivot table mess up the other? I've never used 2 pivot tables on 1 sheet before.

MarvinP - I'm already using the subtotals at the top of the group. Unfortunately the subtotal for the date is by campaign, and I'd like a total for each date across all campaigns.

I can see what I'm looking for currently if I make the Date group the uppermost group, but then I can no longer easily compare the performance of one campaign from date to date.
In my actual pivot table I have 10 campaigns each with anywhere from 10 to 100 groups, this makes having the groups set up as Campaign-Date-Group much better than Date-Campaign-Group.
