Hi there, can someone tell me if its possible to conditionally format a pivot table in excel 2010 so even if the pivot table is refreshed it will still be formatted.

    Hi sean1973,

Yes it is easy to CF a pivot table and the formatting will appear even after a refresh of the data. Refresh the attached pivot table and see it work.

Thanks but I do not see an option to apply the rule to selected cells or sum of value

You simply select the column of data in the pivot table and then click on the home tab and find Conditional Formatting and look at the formula there, or create your own CF formula.

When i click on conditional formatting I do not get the option to apply rule to O selected cells, O all cells showing "sum of values" values or O all cells showing "sum of values" value for "row". I only get to select a rule type.
