Unable to pull the correct data into Line Chart.

I need to make a line chart for the attached data as an example.

Multiple lines in the chart, each line in the chart should represent a different comment (No Towels, Dirty Room etc.) and go up and down depending how many comments are received per date. The bottom horizontal legend should show dates while the side Vertical legend should show increments numbers of comments (0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5). The Lines points should display how many comments are received each day in total and the connecting lines should show it going up or down depending on how many comments are received per day.

It is not coming out how I want. I am stumped....HELP!

    Example for Chart.xlsx

    Hello,

the data table as it is cannot be charted, because it does not contain any numbers. Excel needs numbers to build a chart.

You can easily create a summary table and a chart if you use a Pivot Chart.

First, you need to delete row 2 with the totals (they will be included in the pivot chart automatically, so they don't need to be here).

The table needs to be one contiguous table, that means empty rows or empty columns are not allowed.

Then click somewhere inside the table and click Insert > Pivot Table dropdown > Pivot Chart. Select where you would like the chart to be (new worksheet or select a cell in the current sheet).

You will see an empty pivot table and a new panel on the right hand side. In that panel, drag the "data" field into the "Axis fields" box at the bottom. Then drag "Lost Keys", "Customer Service" and the other fields into the "Values" box.

By default Excel will create a column chart. Click the chart and on the Design ribbon click "Change Chart Type" and select a line chart.
To make sure that the lines also show the blank cells (which means 0 complaints for that day), click the chart, then on the Design ribbon of the Pivot chart Tools click Select Data > Hidden and empty cells button > Zero.

The pivot table that provide the numbers for the chart will have totals in the bottom row of the table.

    see attached.
