    Finding an intersection

I have a chart with values in column A and Values in Row 1... I need for users to be able to enter in a value to look up in column A and another to look up in Row 1 and the value that is in the cell where the intersection occurrs... I've tried indx and indx match, but am new to excel, and just can't seem to make it work... help would be greatly appreciated!!! I'm attaching the spreadsheet so that you can look at it... The Rating tab is where the users need to be able to enter in values for Baseline and Actual and then the "rating" box is where I need the intersection cell value to appear...

    Re: Finding an intersection

I've been trying to use the formula =INDEX($A$2:$AP$43,MATCH(D49,$A$2:$A$43,0),MATCH(D48,$B$1:$AP$1,0)) and just use it on the chart page at the bottom but I cannot get it to return anything but an error?!?!?

    Hello
Working with your currently defined Table 1, then the following works based on the values entered in the 'Rating' sheet.

However, the 'Actuals' row below your Table is currently formatted as Text so this will need to be changed to a number format.

    Hope this helps.

Thanks!! I was actually including the Column 1 and Row 1 in my array and it was throwing everything off... I've got it now and it's working perfectly!!!
