Surface Chart Depth Axis showing all Data Series' on top of each other (Excel 2007)

    Hi Everyone,

I'm having trouble getting a Surface Chart to work correctly, I just can't find the way to get the Depth Axis (Z Axis) to scale, it is just showing all data series on a single plane.

Hopefully I have managed to attach the document so you can have a look, I am a Novice when it comes to excel so any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Many Thanks,

    Jason

    Hi again,

I've had some more time to fiddle with the chart and having rotated the view I can now see that the data series' are not all on the same 'plane', however i still havent managed to increase the distance between each data series on the chart.

Any help would be very much appreciated, even if it is just telling me that what I am attempting is impossible.

Here's a screenshot of the Surface Chart rotated to enable viewing of the gaps between the data series.

The axes are categorical. If you only have 5 rows of data compared to hundreds of columns you will get a skinny plot.

    Andy,

Thank you for your response, I am now looking into alternative software options to produce these graphs.

    Thanks Again,

    Jason
