Pivot table Sales comparison over years

I am trying to create a pivot table that the report filters by Sales rep, the MTD, and YTD sales for for 2012 and 2013.

The sales are filtered by and Customer and Category and looking to obtain a PT report with for columns for example:

Feb 13 Sales and Feb 13 YTD Sales and Feb 12 Sales and Feb 12 YTD Sales and Diff (calculate Feb 13YTD - Feb 12 YTD)

Here is what I have done so far.

    Any takers?

Sample MTD YTD Sales.xlsxI understand it goes against the rules of Pivot Tables to have two Grand totals across the row.

You can have only one Grand Total.

    VBA Programing needed?

I want the spreadsheet to resemble this sample file

    Hello,

kindly add the subtotal by right clicking the pivot on "2012 or 2013". Once clicked you will have the "2012 Total" and "2013 Total" added to the pivot. Probably we could add the variance based on formulae. Let me know if i could be of further assistance.

    Thanks

    Harini_Tiger

    That's perfect.

    thanks

I lost the DDAte lable filter drop down. This is necessary to filter the months.
(Oh found it. In the PT Field List)

Small thing but, anyway I can show 2013 numbers followed by 2012 rather than reverse?

    awesome

    Hello Holly Molly,

Nice to hear it worked out well.

You could keep the cursor on year "2012" and then sort by "descending". This would make you to have 2013 numbers followed by 2012. please find the one updated in the attached file.

Hope this is what you want
