I have data that was measured roughly once every 10 minutes. Some data is missing - sometimes for hours there's no data. In the pivotchart, when I right-click to get the x-axis' 'Format Axis' options and specify that it is a 'Date Axis', it appears that Excel's smallest base unit is Days. In other words, all my 10-minute measurements are put into 1-day buckets, leaving me with no nuances of the finer 10-minute measurements. Is there a way to have finer granularity on a date axis? (I can't believe that Excel can't handle this!)
I have been fooling around with Microsoft Access, and it looks like it can make pivotcharts with finer granularity. However, Access is missing quite a lot of Excel's features...
In a second attempt, I downloaded PowerPivot, the Excel add-on, hoping there might be something there to help. In the PowerPivot window, it recognizes my dates column as Dates, but when I make a pivotchart out of the data, they are no longer recognized as Dates. I guess PowerPivot is no help.
Does anyone know a workaround to pivotchart with a base unit of (intervals of) minutes?
Thank you!
