What is the use of giving a pivottable a name?

Dear All,

Apparently it is possible to give a pivot table a name (just like a DataTable, which helps referencing the content). However so far I have not find a way to reference a pivottable by its name, or use the name in any other way. Does any of you know the purpose of giving it a name, and where you can use it for?

You can give a pivot table a name by selecting the the table, going to the Options tab of PivotTable Tools. Totally on the left of the tab is a textbox that allows you to enter a name. (see also attached picture).

I give them relevant names so that when I have a slicer than I want to have connected to only certain pivot tables, it is easy to know which pivot tables I am connecting the slicer to.
