    How to create groups in pivot table drop down list

    I'm trying to select specific time frame from the linked data on a pivot table. However, the drop down list only shows specific dates. Anyone know how to create a sub group (i.e. month and year). I don't want to have to select every single date which fallls within my desired time period.

    Right click one of your dates and group. Select your requirement.
