Creating scattering chart in excel 2007/2010/2013

    Hello all,

I'm trying to create a chart that resembles the idea of a cartesian coordinate system in excel 2013.
The X-axis should be used for the work hours for a certain week and the Y-axis should be for the study hour of a certain week.
What I want is to create a "map" of number of week (10 in my case, but this doesn't realy matters), where if in week 7, for example, one studied for 3 hours and worked for 8 hours, then a dot with the week number (7, in this case) would appear on the coordinate of (X,Y)=(8,3).

Hope what I'm willing to accomplish is clear.

Any help would be highly appreciated.

    Regards,
    Elad

See if this helps http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/ex...478.aspx?CTT=1 It should be as easy as putting the desired X data in a column. Then putting the Y data in the column to the right of the X data, then creating the scatter chart from those two columns.

Thanks, works like a charm, with one addition to what you suggested - adding names to the dots on the chart using data labels and choosing the range 1-10
that is adjacent to the data that is selected for the chart.

    Cheers, mate.
