Dynamically changing where a chart's data comes from

    Hi All,

I have a number of charts on a worksheet and was wondering if there is any way of setting where they get their data from based on which cell the top right/left of the chart is located, or where they are on the sheet?. Or is this more a VBA question?

    Thanks

    Chimpy

that would require vba-like many of us charts have no concept of their own place in the world ;-)

I thought as much, do you have any ideas please or should I just do it manually for the time being?

I have many ideas-few of them good-but would need considerably more detail to provide relevant code :-)

Re: Dynamically changing where a chart's data comes from

Ok thanks for the help, here's a picture of a section of the sheet to give you an idea of what i'm after. The top chart shows the data and to the right that is being referenced and it is repeated about 12 times (but with different data) down the sheet. Don't spend too much time on it though mate as if all else fails i'll just put the reference to the data in manually. I'm just trying to futureproof it.

Hi JP, thanks for the offer of help, i'm going to stick with the manual method for the time being as I doubt the spreadsheet will change much now I've set it up. But if I need help with it in the future i'll let you know.

    Cheers
