Change y-axis labels w/out changing underlying data

Thank you MrShorty, solution worked perfectly!

    Original question:
I have a time series with data expressed in thousands, e.g. 1,143. Without changing the underlying data, is there a way to change the Y axis labels so they go from 0 to 5.0, instead of 0 to 5,000, and still have the chart plot correctly?

The reason I'm asking is because I already tried dividing the data by 1,000, and there is some kind of anomaly in Excel 2007 that caused the "Projected" series to skip two data points (2010 and 2011).

A number format code of 0.0, should do just that http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/ex...372.aspx?CTT=1 see the "display a thousands separator" section about half way down for an explanation of the use of the comma in number format codes.
