    Pivot Table calculation

    Hello All,

I'm desperately looking for the following solution:

I have two pivot table: Budget Cost(1) and Actual Cost(2). Both have Yearly data from different locations. an example

    Budget Actual
Year Location1 Location 2 year location location 2
    2012 2012
    quarter 1 $$$ $$$ quarter 1 $$$
    quarter 2 $$$ $$$ quarter 2 $$$

Data source of Pivot 1 is a daily sheet that I grouped to year and quarter. data source is already formatted to quarter and year

How can I create a new pivot or combine those two pivot, so I can make a column chart that shows the budget and actual cost?

    Thank you very much.

    Re: Pivot Table calculation

    Thanks once again,

I put a mini "instruction manual" in the sheet
    It's as follow:

I have the two pivot tables #1(K2) #2(W2)

the result needs to be like pivot table and chart in AM3 and further

the table between Pivot table #2 and AM3 needs to be avoided(that's a manual entry I make)=not what I'm looking for

So, to summarize (the data's are in the first two flat tables) from those I created two pivot tables (budget &actual) and the problem==How to create a table and chart (like the last table and chart) (AM3) in the sheet. So at the end the sheet must contain the first two tables and maybe a combination of the two.

Hope above can help you help me.

    Re: Pivot Table calculation

Hard to tell if this working without the complete data set. By adding a "Sumifs" to column D, does the Pivot Table on Sheet1 work?
