Subtotal all data and display on bar graph

    Hi All,

I am new to this forum, and it looks like everyone here is very helpful - so I'm hoping someone is willing and able to help me.

I am trying to get this bar chart to show the combined totals for owners and lessees. I am using Excel 2007, and have tried using a Data Table - but all it does is cram the data on top of the graph. I have attached my sheet here for you. My assignment is due 6/30 by 11:55pm PST, so any help would be GREATLY appreciated.

    Thanks!

Hi otsegonaut and welcome to the forum,

It looks like you need to click on the chart and change the chart type from Bar to Stacked Bar.
One test is worth a thousand opinions.

Is there a way to numerically represent the total number of owners and lessees on the chart as well?

How about right click on the series and select Add Data Labels...

...or do you want the total total. 16K and 10K?

I'd like to have the totals for each age group, and then a grand total for each over all age groups if possible. What I'm doing just looks too clustered and isn't visually appealing.
