Moving average usage in a pivot chart

    Hi guys,

I attach a table with data and pivot chart which is based on it.

How can I add to the chart a 7 days moving average line for example (without adding this data to the original data table)?

The reason I can't add this to the data table is that the chart is dynamic and based on data which comes from an SQL Server database.

I would like to be able to change the selected range of dates in the pivot chart, and still see the relevant moving 7 days average in the chart.

    Thank you so much,

    Moty

    Hi guys,

I'd appreciate any response on this one. Even one which says that this kind of thing isn't possible.

    Thanks,

I work with excel 2007; and in that version I don't think its possible to create a calculated field in the pivot table (like you want).

Since you work with the excel 2010 version, I believe (but i can't test it because i don't have that version), that it will be possible.

The excel 2010 version has (additional) PowerPivot which is (based on reading items on it) a even more powerfull tools for pivot table.

I bet your question will be possible in that version (but as already said) i'm not 100% sure, because i can't test it.

If it is a job you have to do often on an excel 2007 version, you could write a macro for that.
Notice my main language is not English.

I appreciate it, if you reply on my solution.
