Align Primary and Secondary Axis Dates W/O Flipping Columns?

    Hello,

I am having trouble aligning the x axis dates for each series.

I am trying to create a chart (30 of them actually) with two series of data. One series is plotted as a scatter and the other as columns. Each series has a slightly different, but overlapping range of dates for the x axis.

I am trying to align the dates and what I have figured out so far is that I'm going to have to edit each axis manually so that they have the same maximum and minimum. However, this causes the columns of my second series to flip upside down with I enable the secondary axis so that I can click on it to edit the max and min. Is there a way to accomplish this without the columns flipping?

I am using Excel 2003 right now, but I have access to 2013 if that will make a solution easier.

    Thank you!

Okay, I was able to figure out how to flip the columns back by making my secondary y axis cross at 0 again, no idea why it changed that on me, but that seems to be working.

Is there an easier way to do any of this? I have to do it a number of times...
