    help with simple pivot problem...

I have a spreadsheet with data in the following order:

Date Time Day Open High Low Close Volume

There is a value for each minute of each trading day for a little over 3 years. I'm trying to create a new table that shows the date, highest high, lowest low, sum of volume, time of highest high, time of lowest low. I've been trying to do this with pivot tables.

My current pivot table shows the date, highest high, lowest low, sum of volume but I can't figure out how to also get the time that these two events occurred. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I just mean I want to retrieve the time value from the line which has the highest high and the time value from the line which has the lowest low for each day. I thought that excel treats each row as an array when using pivot tables so I would think this would be easy but I can't figure it out. I hope I'm making sense.

    Hi yertleturtle,

I think you were on the right track but I'm not sure if I've asnwered your question.

See the attached file where on Sheet1 I've added another Pivot with the time added in as a Column & the High field set as MAX & the Low field set as MIN (as you had it).

Is this what you were after?
