Pivot table sum question

How can I add data in pivot table and show the sum of subcategories in a chart?
Category1 15
Category1 15
Category2 13
Category2 12

I want to be able to draw a chat that shows category 1 and 2 in x axis and the value 30 and 25 of sum of each category on y axis using pivot chart. However, when I create the pivot chart and add categories to Rows field and their values to value field in pivot table it shows zero as SUM of them. I should mention that it shows the Counts of each category correctly!!!

Any ideas what is my mistake?

irst, select the source data and make sure that the cells have not been formatted as Text in the Number tab of Format | Cells...
Next, select an empty cell and copy it to the clipboard.
Select the source data, then select Edit | Paste Special...
Select the Add option, then click OK.
Now click somewhere in the pivot table and click Refresh on the Pivot Table toolbar.
