    Right justify secondary Y Axis?

Is there a way to Right justify a secondary Y axis?

The primary Y axis is right justified, but the secondary is left justified.

    Thanks,

I'm not entirely certain what you mean by "right" and "left" justified. You can control where the primary y axis crosses the primary horizontal axis from the "format axis" dialog for the primary horizontal axis. http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/ex...254.aspx?CTT=1 You can control where the secondary y axis crosses the secondary horizontal axis through the same dialog for the secondary horizontal axis (you may need to display the secondary horizontal axis if it is not already present).

    Does that help?

    Nope, no luck....

Here is my chart with an example of how I want it to line up.
I have a feeling that it can not be done, I just wanted to check with someone else first

I think you will need to fake it using data labels

Thanks Andy Pope, I will try that and see if I can get the font, comas, ect.. to look the same as the left.

Interesting. I would have expected a number format code like ??,??0 would do the trick. The question mark (?) is supposed to be a placeholder that reserves the space. In XL2007, it did not work. Interestingly, in XL2002/XP, this number format code did a fine job of "right justifying" the axis labels. In a left or center aligned spreadsheet column, this number format did a fine job of lining up the decimal points. For whatever reason that I cannot see offhand, the axis label treats the ? differently in 2007.

You might try this number format code to see if it behaves better in 2010. It looks to me like this might be one of those cases where the "upgraded" version is not really an "upgrade."

There should be some way to do this, but I am not seeing it offhand.

    MrShorty,

They are still off a bit. It looks to have centered justified the numbers. I have several of these graphs that need changed, so I am about to tell Mgmt that it can not easily be done. Adding the axis labels from above would work, but would require a lot of work to the 8 graphs I have to change. I was hoping for more of a simple solution like you suggested to get them changed. It is just silly cosmetics that do not affect the output of the graph, and I want to move on with my work. Thank you so much for your help though.

Using the ??0 number format will work but you do need to change the font to a fixed space rather than proportional.

@MrShorty, your custom number format solution works for me in xl2007 when applied to the axis number format.

@Andy Pope. Thanks for noting that. I have always used proportional spaced fonts, so it did not give the desired effect. You are correct, with a fixed space font (I used Courier New in testing), that number format does indeed appear to produce the desired effect.
