Post not answered question

I was wondering if someone could help me.

I am trying to get a sheet finished and posted a rather detailed question that 100 people have looked at but no responses. I am wondering what the proper procedure would be to help me get an answer. I know that you can't duplicate post between threads so is the best thing to mark it solved and re-post here or on one of the other boards?

Hi Mike,

You can Bump your question by adding another post to it. This puts it at the top of the stack. In reality you need to find someone who will "own" the question enough to understand it and also know enough to get to an answer. We all work for free so you can also use our Commercial Services to try to inspire someone to help. Click on the Forum tab at the top of this page to find and read about it.

Thanks for your response. I did look at the commercial area and I see you can buy points but was not clear how many points one would need

By adding another post to it do you mean to reply to it or edit it?

Re: Post not answered question

If you have not had a response after a day, type a new post to your thread, asking for help. This is called "bumping" and has the affect of pushing your thread back to the top of the list. If the forum is really busy, posts can very quickly drop to the 2nd or 3rd page, and get "lost"
1. Use code tags for VBA.
Your Code
(or use the # button)
2. If your question is resolved, mark it SOLVED using the thread tools
3. Click on the star if you think someone helped you

Best to do that by a reply to my original post? and does edit have the same effect?
