using conditional formatting only on some rows within a column

Hi -this relates to my previous post about copying only those rows that meet conditional formats into a new column (thanks paulyb).

My spreadsheet has column A numbers, column B dates, and column C numbers. I want to find duplicates in column A and column C, but only if the date in column B has passed. The date in column B is related to the number in col A.

I then want to copy in a different column in a different tab, only those cells that are a match in column C. This has been a struggle for me, thanks for any help here guys.

The duplicates in columns A and C will not be in the same row, so a simple IF func will not work I don't think.

It would help if you posted a sample workbook and explain in it what you want to achieve.

Thanks Pete, great suggestion, hope it helps, I saved it as a 97-2003 workbook so anyone can open it.
