Hi. Apologies in advance from an (enthusiastic) Excel amateur, with some idea but struggling with this one.
I'm hoping to create a spreadsheet that will take content of a cell in Column F from one worksheet ('Ingredients') and copy it into subsequent worksheets ('Muffins', 'Sponge' and maybe more) if the text in the Column A of Ingredients is in Column B of Muffins and Sponge.
I've not explained well. Hopefully the attached shows what I'd like to do.
In cooking terms.....I've costed the price per unit of ingredients used in recipes ('Ingredients'), and would like that 'Price Per Recipe Unit' to be copied into other worksheets alongside the ingredient name - but only if it's used in the individual recipe ('Muffins', 'Sponge', and more). As the Ingredients Column F is altered (as prices change) I'd like the recipe worksheets to update to reflect this. I can't find a way to make the IF command on its own work for this as it would need list every single text Column A ingredient in the formula, which seems a bit extreme - especially as the list grows. The ingredients won't be listed in the same order on each worksheet.
Any thoughts - or just empathy - would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you.
