List box to read input range rather than random digit

Hello.
I have a table of data in sheet1 which is linked to a form control list box in sheet2. The link cell, however, does not read the input range but rather a random number. How do i get the link cell to read the input range?

When i use the list box from active X controls i don't have this issue but active X controls usually freeze by me so i would like to stick with form controls.

The link cell isn't a random number but the ordinal position of the list box selection. You can use a formula in an adjacent cell to convert this to the value from the source table, for example:
