Hello all,
I am using Excel 2007
I have a spreadsheet containing a table. As I enter new data at the end row, I want it to automatically enter the formula from the row above.
I have been using the following formula:
D2 Late Tested
E2 Frequence in months
G2 Next Test Due
=IF(D2="","",DATE(YEAR(D2),MONTH(D2)+E2,DAY(D2)))
this simply adds, for instance, 12 months for the date giving the next test date (I cant use years because some tests are done 6 monthly)
However, when I get to the bottom row and then add another row by tabbing along, the formula does not fill in automatically.
I therefore tried to use the structured formula reference as follows:
=[@[Last Tested]]+[@[Frequency in Months]]
but it is obviously missing some bits to make it work. I am stumped!
Can anyone please help me?
Thank you
