Strange Lookup

I'm having a tough time figuring out how to arrange a lookup formula. Attached is a sample file.

In this example, I am attempting to look up one value based on two criteria. The month must match, and the location must match. In doing so, the value "1" should be returned in the example.

Any help with this would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Your sample sheet isn't very clear. Please provide more data, and let us know what the result would look like. I am assuming you want to lookup the month and location shown in sheet 1 in the data in sheet 2, but there's not enough information in sheet 2 know what you're trying to do. And what are the numbers in column N?

but it assumes that location 2 onwards will be listed below location 1 and that all locations will have April as the first month and that all locations will have all months (eg some wont end in Jun wihile others will go to October).

To up load a file in a comment click on Go Advanced then on the paper clip.
