My dynamic range of all cells to xldown in column a is offset(a1,,,counta(a:a), 1). This isn't working.
Any suggestions?
Thanks

"isn't working" doesn't give us quite enough information.
However, since indicate that you are using Excel 2010, you may not need to createa dynamic named range.
If you convert your range to an Excel Table (Home.Format_as_table), you can refer a specific field and the table will make that reference grow and shrink to accommodate the data.
Is that something you can work with?
@ron caderre:
I can't use data tables. The issue is that my range goes all the way down to the last cell in the workbook. I checked for rogue non blanks using is blank and doing xldown and nothing came up.
To be more specific I could in theory use data tables but dynamic range with offset would be much preferable.
If your data does not extend to the last row of the worksheet then that is an issue that probably needs to be address.
Also, just to be clear: Data tables are different structures than Excel tables. If you can avail yourself of Excel tables, I highly recommend them.
