    formula for graphed exponential function

My data consist of two paralel arrays: one containing the titles of years (1958, 1959, 1960....2013) They are the x dimension. The y values are (eg) 317.98, 325.46..... Each x value is paired with a y value. (no missing data). I graphed the data, using the program Graph, and i observe that the function has a small exponential component.

I used to be able to get the formula for such a function from Excel, but now it doesn't seem to happen. I've tried GROWTH, LINEST (OK., I know thats for linear) and LOGEST. They each give me a single numeric value WhichI don't understand.. But no formula like y = f(x).

    Thanks

Plot it on a graph in excel, add a trendline and tick the display equation option.
