    Treat an Operator Like Text

    Hello everyone,

I've been at this for a while now and I am simply at am impasse.

I'm using a COUNTIF formula, and would like it to count all the instances of "< $50K". Literally just that string. I don't want to actually look for values less than $50K, but the string "< $50K". Is this possible? If so, how? I thought I might need to use a code of some sort for "<" to be read how I want, but I haven't had any luck.

    Thanks!
