    Lookup for Duplicate Matches

    Hello Everyone,

I am trying to do a Lookup from Sheet1 to Sheet2. Sheet1 has duplicate values which while doing vlookup it should consider and tell me if it is present in Sheet2 or not.

    Sheet1 Sheet2
    AAAA AAAA
    BBBB BBBB
    CCCC CCCC
    CCCC DDDD
    DDDD EEEE
    DDDD
    DDDD
    EEEE

Now when we do vlookup in sheet1 it should give the result as below

    Sheet1 Result
    AAAA Match
    BBBB Match
    CCCC Match
    CCCC No Match
    DDDD Match
    DDDD No Match
    DDDD No Match
    EEEE No Match

    Kindly assist.

    Thanks in advance

    Re: Lookup for Duplicate Matches

    Why is EEEE "No Match"?

Try this in cell B1 of sheet1, copied down
    =IF(COUNTIF($A$1:A1,A1)<=COUNTIF(Sheet2!A:A,A1),"Match","No Match")

    Re: Lookup for Duplicate Matches

While Bernie Deitrick's formula also works, here is another one which is a regular formula (not an array formula)
