Ok my question is this. I am trying to have my ledger tables linked up to my journal in a way that as I add a journal entry into the journal I can pick an account from a list in the account column and when I enter data into that form it will be filled in the correct debit credit portion of the account table. I have thought of a couple of different ways to do this but have failed to get either one of them to work. One was to use the account number to add the information but this didn't work at all. So to sum it up I would like the data from which I enter in the Journal to be filled in the corresponding account table. I am doing this for future accounting students.
