    formula to show future dates

I have a spreadsheet where in Column L it would either be blank (no action) or yes (second field inspection required), Column M is date last inspected, Column O is 2nd inspection due.

I'd like my formula in column O to be: if column L is yes, column O would show date from Column M+182 (roughly six months) and i would like it to equal an actual date.

For example if the last inspection was done Jan 9-14, the next one would be Jul 10-14 if this was a "yes".

    Thanks!

Thank you! The formula worked! However, in column M, if there isn't a date available, it would read "not inspected". I think the "not inspected" in Column M is returning #VALUE! - how can I get it to show blank if there isn't a date available yet?

In Col M how is that date getting filled in....if it is a formula, you can use an IF or IFERROR statement to control what gets put in the cell...it might be easier if you could upload a small sample file....of course, remove any company confidential data....

I've attached a sample file. You can see that it shows #VALUE! where it would say not inspected in Column M.

    THanks!
