sumifs for 2 separate conditions? (see the attachement)

    Hey all,

I need some help with a formula. In the attached spreadsheet, there are 3 tabs:

    Inputs
    Financials
    Data

This is just a sample file I created since I can't post my work file here. But basically, I need to get sum of values for May for example and May YTD based on the selected input in "input" tab.

So for example, in cell D10 in "financials" tab, I would like to link to those cells the arrows are pointing to in my lookup formula and get the sum of all the "pepsi" sold in "US" in May. The selection for month would be pulled from my selection in the input tab cell C12.

    PLEASE HELP ME!!!!

    Hi,

Your Crosstab data is much more Excel friendly if you put it into an Excel table. I have added a macro to do that in the attached and run the macro on your data. I needed to add a few column head words and delete blank rows and columns. Then I did a Pivot Table that gets what I think you want. You can filter the pivot table by country or month using the row dropdown. See the attached.

The reason its no use is because we run this report using extract from cognos and present in a specific format. Which is why it would be better if we just use formulas to get the values in "financials" tab

    I used the macro below.

    After that a pivot table.

    See the attached file.

Re: sumifs for 2 separate conditions? (see the attachement)

Is there a way to do this without pivot table and macros? I have seen someone do this before in one of the files at the company I work at using just the formulas but I can't locate that file.

The reason i can't use pivot tables etc is because we run this report using extract from cognos and present in a specific format. Which is why it would be better if we just use formulas to get the values in "financials" tab

Ok i added a formula to cell D10 in "financials" tab. I think I am almost there. But how do I replace this portion of the formula =SUMIFS(Data!$H:$H to match input selected in input tab and match it to column in 2014 tab?

    Maybe like this.

    See the attached file.

Maybe you can post the translated formula in D5.

This is related to cell D8.

    Try this........

This formula takes the criteria from Input Tab and criteria from Financial Tab.

Is this what you are trying to achieve?
